On the road again, not blogging much. Why? Because we get busy and frequently get back late and then I'm tired and I need to organize pictures, etc etc etc.
Left almost a month ago which seems crazy - time flys. Trip to Kerrville long but uneventful, thank you God. We stayed in Palm Springs our first night on the road. The RV parks down there are very expensive to we planned to stay at a rest stop. Just before we left Coachella I spied a lot of RVs in a casino parking lot. We pulled off and saw to our delight the casino provided free overnight parking. So we circled the wagons with the other travelers and went to sleep. Good thing too - as we traveled the next morning we saw that the rest stop we had intended to use was closed! It would have been a longggg drive to another safe sleeping stop. We were already exhausted because we had drived for 13 hours - so many traffic jams in California!!
Texas was Texas - we have a favorite RV park in Kerrville so that was lovely but our options for doing things gets smaller and smaller as Paul's mother's health declines. It was her 92nd birthday so we had flowers, balloons and a cake - she was all smiles.
Mmmmm- Blue Bell ice cream! Texas has some perks. Can't wait to see more photos from the trip. Thanks for posting!
